Adipotide

Weight LossSingle
Also known as: FTPP

A proapoptotic peptidomimetic designed to selectively target adipose-tissue vasculature, originally studied in primate weight-loss models.

How it works

Adipotide targets prohibitin on white-adipose endothelial cells, triggering apoptosis of fat-tissue blood supply and causing rapid fat loss in animal studies.

Protocol notes

No established human-use protocols. Preclinical primate work used 0.43 mg/kg daily for 4 weeks. Significant safety concerns limit human use.

Reported side effects

Kidney toxicity, dehydration, electrolyte disturbance. Not recommended for human use without clinical oversight.
