How it works
Cerebrolysin mimics endogenous neurotrophic factors, supporting neuronal survival, neurite outgrowth, and synaptic plasticity. Clinical trials have studied its effect on cognitive function in stroke, TBI, and dementia.
Protocol notes
Clinical protocols administer 5–30 mL intramuscularly daily for 10–20 days, cycled with breaks. Off-label nootropic use typically uses smaller doses (1–5 mL) for shorter periods.
Reported side effects
Injection-site reactions, transient agitation, headache, dizziness, mild fever, and rare hypersensitivity reactions.
