MOTS-c
LongevitySingleAlso known as: Mitochondrial Open Reading Frame of the 12S rRNA-c
A mitochondrial-derived peptide studied for metabolic regulation, insulin sensitivity, exercise performance, and longevity.
Half-life

Common dose
5 – 10 mg
Dosing frequency
Twice Daily
Administration
Subcutaneous
How it works
MOTS-c is encoded within mitochondrial DNA and acts as a signaling peptide regulating AMPK, insulin sensitivity, and folate-methionine metabolism. Levels decline with age.
Protocol notes
Research dosing of 5–10 mg subcutaneously 2–3 times weekly is most common. Cycles of 4–6 weeks. Often used pre-workout.
Reported side effects
Generally well-tolerated. Possible mild fatigue or hypoglycemia.
