How it works
NAD+ is a cofactor in hundreds of redox reactions including the electron transport chain. It is also a substrate for sirtuins (longevity-associated deacetylases) and PARPs (DNA repair enzymes). Cellular levels decline with age.
Protocol notes
IV protocols use 250–1000 mg per infusion 1–3 times weekly. Subcutaneous protocols at 50–100 mg daily are common. NMN/NR precursors are oral alternatives.
Reported side effects
Flushing, chest pressure, fatigue during infusion (IV). Subcutaneous tends to be better tolerated.
