How it works
Semax increases BDNF and NGF expression, modulates dopaminergic and serotonergic transmission, and shows neuroprotective effects in models of ischemic stroke. It is used clinically in Russia for stroke recovery.
Protocol notes
Typically dosed intranasally at 300–900 mcg daily, divided into 2–3 doses. Cycles of 2–4 weeks. A more potent N-acetyl variant exists.
Reported side effects
Generally well-tolerated. Possible irritability, headache, mild nasal irritation.
